Andrew Owen, CFA

President, Wells Fargo Funds

In his role as head of Affiliated Managers, Mr. Owen oversees a suite of institutional asset management firms affiliated with Wells Fargo offering a variety of specialized investment capabilities. As president of Wells Fargo Funds, he serves as the primary contact for the nine-person, independent Wells Fargo Funds Board of Trustees. Mr. Owen is responsible for the Sarbanes-Oxley duties of reviewing and approving Wells Fargo Funds financial reports and authorizes the filing of fund registration statements with the SEC. Mr. Owen has been with Wells Fargo since 1992 serving in various roles, including controller, portfolio manager, and head of marketing, product, and investments. Mr. Owen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of CFA Institute.

Wayne Badorf, CFP®, CFS

Wayne Badorf is head of Intermediary Sales for Wells Fargo Asset Management. He is responsible for strategic and leadership initiatives across the organization, as well as the distribution of mutual funds and separately managed accounts through national, regional, and independent broker/dealers; private banks; institutional clients; retirement platforms; and registered investment advisors. Mr. Badorf joined Wells Fargo in 2004 and has more than 25 years of investment management industry experience.

Erdem Cimen, CFA

Erdem Cimen and his team are responsible for the overall direction and control of financial analysis, sales and business reporting, accounting operations, vendor contracts, and the project management office. He also directs Wells Fargo Funds Management's strategic planning and modeling process. Mr. Cimen has been with Wells Fargo since 2001. Before joining the fund's management group in 2006, he worked in the auto finance group, initially in risk management and later as the group's finance officer. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of CFA Institute.

Debra Ann Early

Debra Ann Early is the head of Risk at Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM), the investment management division of Wells Fargo & Company. The Risk team assesses and ensures oversight of risk in alignment with business needs and goals. This includes enterprise policy oversight of such functions as technology systems, privacy, and vendor management. Ms. Early has more than 24 years of experience in the investment management industry and joined WFAM in 2007.

Paul J. Haast, CFA

Since 2015, Paul Haast has led the Product Management, Product Development, and Investments teams for Wells Fargo Funds, Wells Fargo Managed Account Services, and the Wells Fargo (Lux) Worldwide Fund. Mr. Haast joined Wells Fargo in 1994 and, over the years, has held positions within the product development, product management, and transfer agent operations departments. Mr. Haast began his career more than 24 years ago as a control accountant at Investors Bank & Trust. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Boston University. He passed the certified public accountant exam and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.

David Messman, J.D.

David Messman serves as a senior vice president, secretary, and chief legal officer for Wells Fargo Funds Management. Concurrently, he serves as an assistant general counsel of the Wells Fargo law department. Mr. Messman leads the legal team that supports Wells Fargo Asset Management. He joined Wells Fargo in 1996. Prior to that, he served for six years on the staff of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C. For most of his time at the SEC, he was a branch chief in its investment management division. Mr. Messman earned both a bachelor's degree in journalism and a juris doctor law degree from the University of Minnesota. He became a member of the Minnesota Bar in 1985 and a member of the California Bar in 1997.

Michael Whitaker

Michael Whitaker is the chief compliance officer for Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM), responsible for all compliance activities and oversight. He works closely with the WFAM operating committee to ensure that business priorities and compliance requirements are aligned. In addition, Mr. Whitaker is responsible for oversight reporting to the Wells Fargo Funds Board of Trustees. Mr. Whitaker earned a bachelor of business administration degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame and a juris doctorate degree cum laude from Cornell University. He is admitted into the Massachusetts and New York bars and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New York.

Nancy Wiser

Nancy Wiser joined Wells Fargo in 2011 and is responsible for operations and technology. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Wiser served as the chief operating officer and chief compliance officer at a hedge fund in New York. She has worked in the investment industry since 1989 and has held various positions in areas that include fund accounting, technology, investment operations, investor relations, and compliance. Ms. Wiser serves on the Business Advisory Council at the Providence College School of Business, the Board of Overseers at Providence College, and the Advisory Council for the National Black MBA Association's Boston Chapter.
